The world No. 1 women’s golfer, Lydia Ko will reappear on the LPGA Tour after taking a week off. It will be at the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic where Ko will defend her title won the inagural event in 2014. The win meant her very first victory as a professional golfer. The Lake Merced Golf Club in San Francisco will host the event from April 23 thru 26. This will be the second year that the Bay Area receives the LPGA tourney.
The 2015 Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic will also be the first event for the Spaniard Azahara Muñoz since her wrist surgery. Muñoz had a tumor removed 5 weeks ago and had to miss a four tournaments.
After a week off Stacy Lewis is also back on tour and will try to forget that playoff defeat at the ANA Inspiration with a win in San Francisco. Other notable players on the field for these week are Anna Nordqvist, Morgan Pressel, Brittany Lincicome and the two times winner this season, rookie Sei Young Kim.
