Canadian Pacific Women’s Open Preview

After Brooke M. Henderson’s exciting win in Portland, Oregon, the LPGA will now head to Vancouver, Canada to play the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open. The event will be held at the Vancouver Golf Club August 20 thru 23. This tournament will be the last event counting to make the Solheim Cup teams; the captains from both teams will be announcing the final rosters on August 24.

In last year’s edition So Yeon Ryu won the event with a 23-under-par score after leading wire to wire. Na Yeon Choi was runner-up after a 21-under-par. While Ryu’s close friend, Inbee Park, finished with a solo third place at 18-under.

Lydia Ko will certainly be one of the favorites this week in Canada; the New Zealand player has won the event twice as an amateur (2012 and 2013). After her victory last weekend Brooke M. Henderson will also be among the favorites, as she will be playing on home ground. Brittany Henderson, Brooke’s older sister will also play this week in Vancouver.
