Preview: Lorena Ochoa Invitational 2015

After an exciting Asian Swing the LPGA Tour comes back to North America where the final two events of the season will be played. This week’s event distinguish itself from any other in the calendar for having a limited field in which only the best female golfers are invited to play in Lorena Ochoa’s home country.

The 8th edition of the Lorena Ochoa Invitational will be held at the Club de Golf Mexico November 12 thru 15.

During the 2014 edition Christina Kim exceeded the rest of the field during the first two days of the event but had to face Shanshan Feng in a two hole playoff to claim her first win in 9 years and 3 days.

Angela Stanford, Cristie Kerr and Lexi Thompson are past champions of the event and will also be part of the field this week in Mexico City. The field will be completed by five-invited players, which will be Gaby Lopez, Margarita Ramos, Alejandra Llaneza, Candy Hannemann and the defending champion, Christina Kim.
